For example, you could give priority to your work computer or for any device that is video conferencing.” • • A modem appears with a green box with the text’ Quality of service Settings’ above the modem. Three separate green dotted lines emerge from the box and lead to a mobile, a laptop and a gaming device with a soft green circle darting between the three devices. • • Narrator: “Most Wi-FI operates on two frequencies: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. You can change frequencies for your device by joining the Wi-Fi network labelled 2.4 or 5. You can maximise your internet speeds by putting your work devices on one frequency and personal devices on another, and then use your modem settings to prioritise one frequency.” • • The modem now projects two frequency signals; the 2.4GHz frequency is slower and thicker while the 5GHz is thinner and faster. A laptop and game controller appear separately on the signals, demonstrating the use of one channel for work, while the other for personal use.
