Why we wear a Poppy was written by Don Crawford in the 1960's and has since become a popular poem read to kids and students in schools all over North America. • Please wear a poppy to show you remember all that has been given to protect our way of life. They are offered free, but please donate generously. Wear them in the weeks leading up to November 11th., and go to a remembrance service near you. You may leave your poppy on the cenotaph if you wish. • Thank you to all our veterans and servicemen and women who have given so much, and continue to give so much. In Canada we have now lost more Canadian Forces personnel to suicide from PTSD who served in Afghanistan, than from the conflict itself.
