This channel features full radio transmissions of their calls, edited when privacy is required. Video is also included when available. Suicides and any medical calls where an individual's medical privacy cannot be maintained will not be included. • Wingham apparatus: • Engine 1 - 2008 Pierce Engine (front line pumper) • Ladder 2 - 2004 Pierce Ladder Truck (2nd pumper with 105 foot ladder) • Tank 4 - 2016 Freightliner Tanker with pump that holds 3000 gallons of water • Squad 5 - Dodge Ram 1500 Command Vehicle • Blyth apparatus: • Engine 6 - 2000 Freightliner Engine (front line pumper) • Rescue 7 - 1996 Freightliner Rescue Truck (equipped with extrication equipment) • Tank 8 - 2004 Freightliner Tanker that holds 3000 gallons of water • Tank 9 - 2012 Pierce Sabre Tanker with on board pump • Unit 10 - Cub Cadet with skid unit for grass fires (also tows rescue sled) • Here's a partial list of terms used by the fire department: • 360 - a preliminary 360° inspection of a structure • Code 5 - deceased • DNR - do not resuscitate • HBD - has been drinking • Hydraulic Ventilation - spraying water out a window or door, forcing the smoke out • ISO - incident safety officer • Loss Stopped - fire is out (no longer causing damage) • MVA - motor vehicle accident • MVC - motor vehicle collision • RIT - rapid intervention team • SIT REP - situation report • TIC - thermal imaging camera • VSA - vital signs absent • Coverage - When a fire department in full response will be at a call for awhile, a truck from another department will attend to cover any further calls • Standby in Belgrave - Belgrave is a community halfway between Wingham and Blyth.
