OpenWRT Install OpenWRT on Linksys WRT1900AC

In this video, we will install OpenWRT on the Linksys WRT1900AC router and perform the initial configuration, such as hostname, timezone, network interfaces and WiFi. The router has dual firmware flash layout and we can use luci-app-advanced-reboot to manage that. However, due to the time limit, this topic will be discussed in another video. • Besides that, I have performed some tests. With the router's WAN interface working in DHCP mode, I am able to reach 840 Mbps (106MB/s) throughput. The CPU is at 20% idle. For WiFi, I am able to reach 470 Mbps with the CPU at 23% idle. • The installation is very easy, we just need to download the firmware (linksys_wrt1900ac*-squashfs-factory.img) and install it via the Linksys Web GUI.
