I knew looking at him will only make things worse but I could still feel his breaths brushing my face. My breath hitched when he held my face. • “You need to divorce him. Are you even listening to me? You are mine,” He leaned in and I pushed his shoulder with all my might. • “Shut up,” My blood was boiling as my sight started getting blurry. • “I love my husband. Do you hear me? I love him. You are no one for me!” • His jaw got hard and his lips pursed. He looked at me and smiled. “You are only Adam's.” He straightened and grazed his thumb over his temple as he was used to. I inhaled before rushing out, wondering how I was supposed to tell my husband that his so good of a boss is Adam Cross. My Adam Cross…And, I got frozen. My? • Prologue • “There’s no us anymore.” He hissed with his nose flaring while Sarah with her red cheeks only wanted no one to hear what he was saying. • “Don’t do this Adam. You said you love me.” Her voice was even lower. • “No, I was going to marry you but that was before I realized you are too dumb for me.” His words were cutting her deep but his eyes were the same. Sarah tried to stay put given it wasn’t the place. She knew him. She know him since their childhood. And, now she knew wasn’t the time. • Finding his sister Karen walking to them she noticed how Karen raised her brows suspiciously. She could literally see everything slipping that very moment and walked to him to lessen the suspicion between them. • “Please, don’t do this with me. I know you love me.” • “Get the fuck out of my life.” This time he cried out throwing the glass on the floor. All stares fell on them. And, that was what finally took her to realize that they were officially over. • Chapter 1 • “Yes, I am almost at my apartment,” Sarah said with a wide smile plastered on her face. • Get ready, we are waiting for you, Her friend Seema said “Yea, yea...consider me on the way, ok?” and stopped for a moment to lessen her heartbeat. She had been waiting for this day for months now. And, now it was finally here. • She was beyond excited to try on her new dress because tonight she had to look her best.
