Aortic stenosis is a narrowing of the aortic valve. It allows blood to flow from the heart's lower left chamber (ventricle) into the aorta and out to the body. Stenosis prevents the valve from opening properly, forcing the heart to work harder to pump blood through the valve. This causes pressure to build up in the left ventricle and thickens the heart muscle. • 0:00 Introduction • 0:26 What is it? • 1:23 What causes it? • 1:39 What are the symptoms? • 2:24 How is it diagnosed? • 3:00 Treatment • 5:11 Self-care • We talk about #aortic stenosis #aorticvalve stenosis #valvuloplasty #surgery #seniors #olderpeople #adulteldercare • Contact: [email protected] Subscription: / @prottech Facebook: @Prottech1Blog: https://carlosjperezsite.wordpress.com • If you found this video about aortic stenosis and treatment options helpful, don't forget to like and subscribe for more senior health content.
