Hey there, if you are interested in becoming a data engineer here is where I would do if I were to start learning data engineering from scratch. • πŸ““I would start by covering the data engineer concepts holistically and have a good understanding of the basics. I highly recommend checking out this article which has a good overview of the different concepts : https://www.altexsoft.com/blog/datasc... • 🐧 If you want to start learning linux I highly encourage you to make yourself a cheat sheet or use an existing one. I have this one bookmarked: https://linoxide.com/guide/linux-chea... • 🐳 For docker this is a good starting tutorial: https://www.docker.com/blog/container... • ☸️ If you want to learn Kubernetes I think that their official guide is the place to start! https://kubernetes.io/docs/tutorials/... • 🐍 If you are new to Python and SQL I recommend learning it using w3 schools since that is how I have learned it. https://www.w3schools.com/python/ https://www.w3schools.com/sql/default... • πŸ—„οΈ Do you want to supplement your python and SQL knowledge? I suggest checking out some Datacamp, look at their project sections (https://www.datacamp.com/projects) since they have ton of examples that will help you better understand how to create things rather than just follow tutorials. I have done a few of them myself to get inspired to create my own projects. • ☁️ Interested in the cloud? Not sure where to start? I highly encourage you to check out A Cloud Guru. They have great resources to point you in the right direction if you are a beginner in the cloud! They got you covered for all of the major cloud providers! • 🧰 Not sure what orchestration tools are? Here are some examples: • https://airflow.apache.org/ • https://aws.amazon.com/datapipeline/ • https://cloud.google.com/composer • https://nifi.apache.org/ • βš™οΈ CI/CD is going to be different at each company. If you are new to it, here is a great article that has a good explanation and provides a list of tools and examples: https://www.infoworld.com/article/327... • πŸ“Š New to building dashboards? There are many tools that can display data, I would start with understanding one! If you are looking for some inspiration to build something I encourage you to check out the tableau public dashboards that people are making! https://public.tableau.com/en-us/gallery • These are the resources that I would use to start from!! I would then start making PROJECTS AND MORE PROJECTS and put them on github!
