12v Battery Backup Circuit How To

In this video I’m showing how I’ve built a very simple battery backup circuit for my home alarm system. The circuit charges a 12v lead acid battery and in an event of a power loss, it transfers the power to the battery so the entire system can run even if there is a power cut. • The 12v battery is trickle charged all the time and once the power is cut, it can provide backup power for the alarm for more than 48 hours. • This is a simple circuit and everyone with basic knowledge of electronics can build it. Even though the example I’m showing is for an alarm system, the same setup can be used to power any electronics circuit that needs to still operate after a power failure without investing into expensive UPS. • Check the schematic for the battery backup circuit: • https://easyeda.com/bkolicoski/Batter... • LM317 Calculator for the regulated power output: • https://circuitdigest.com/calculators... • Subscribe to my channel: •    / tastethecode   • Tools and materials used in the video: • Soldering iron: • https://www.banggood.com/MINI-UpGrade... • Solder: • https://www.banggood.com/DANIU-100g-6... • Wire Sponge: • https://www.banggood.com/Soldering-Ir... • Screwdriver set: • https://www.banggood.com/DANIU-25-in-... • Cutting snips: • https://www.banggood.com/DANIU-Electr... • Multimeter: • https://www.banggood.com/ANENG-AN8009... • • ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ • Music: Sometime by baoj   / baoj   • Music provided by Free Music for Vlogs    • (Free Music for Vlogs) baoj - Sometime
