It begins with an introduction to how the human embryo is on the twelfth day after fertilisation, gastrulation and how morphogenetic movements can cause differentiation of germ layers. It then explains types of embryonic induction - Endogenous, Exogenous, Homotypic and Heterotypic Induction; Neurulation. The next part focuses on the fate of germ cell layers: ectoderm, endoderm and mesoderm; Organogenesis in the foetus; the Extra-embryonic membrane- Amnion, Yolk sac, Allantois and Chorion.
