Guitar Restoration Acoustic Start to Finish Timelapse

Here at Fret Friend we teamed up with a very talented wood artist Izak Mrgole who hand restored and created this beautiful 25 year old acoustic guitar. • And filmed all of it using stop motion! • It took him 3 weeks of hard work to sand it down, adjust the bridge and neck, hand craft a new nut and saddle. He added new tuners, bridge pins and burned a beautiful mandala design using a pyrograph and then colored it. • Izak first removed the tuners and sanded down the paint of the guitar. Then he cleaned up the fretboard and frets using linseed oil and abrasive wool. • He then created the mandala pattern using a custom made tool that resembles a compass. He then burned in the design using a pyrograph. And colored it using wood paint. The body was then painted with a protective polish. He hand crafted the nut and saddle of the guitar out of bone and added new tuners and strings. • Got any questions?
