Easy rag quilt with cotton and flannel fabric. I often get asked if you can use cotton fabric in a rag quilt. The answer is, yes! In this tutorial, I show you how to make a rag quilt using cotton and flannel. Be sure to watch until the end to see how awesome this rag quilt looks with the mix of those 2 fabrics. I also used batting in the middle of the squares. • You will need: • 18- 8 1/2 Squares- Main Fabric • 17- 8 1/2 Squares- Offset Fabric (Front) • 35 - 8 1/2 Squares Backing Fabric • 35 - 6 Squares of Batting (Optional) • This equates to: • 1 1/2 yards of fabric for the main fabric • 1 1/2 yards of fabric for offset fabric in front • 3 yards for your backing fabric or 4 yards if you'll be using the same for front and back. • I am using the AccuQuilt Go Big Electric Cutter and AccuQuilt 8 1/2 Rag Die in order to cut my squares. • If you are interested in purchasing this quilt, please visit this link: • https://www.etsy.com/CraftyAuthorQuil... • • Crafting made fun and easy!
