REAPPLYING Sunscreen Over Makeup

SAVE THIS SHORT! 3 ways to reapply your sunscreen over your makeup: • 1️⃣ Using your base sunscreen over your makeup with a makeup sponge. This isn’t my personal fave as I find it interferes with my makeup too much (which is why I didn’t actually demo it in this video—I had other things to do after filming lol), but this works for some people. Some sunscreen formulas will be better at this than others—for example ones that are silicone-y like Supergoop Unseen (or it’s dupe Kroger’s Invisible Gel sunscreen) or sticks like Shiseido Clear Sunscreen Stick. • 2️⃣ Mineral powder sunscreen. This is probably my face because the powder also helps touch-up my makeup. Only thing is there aren’t a huge amount of options in this category that work well IMO. Some of the less expensive ones have packaging that SUCK (seriously, they suuuuuck) and some of them look horrible on darker skin. • Note: you still need to wear a base sunscreen underneath. You will never apply enough of this powder to get adequate protection—and even if you attempted to put enough, it’ll look CRAY. • 3️⃣ SPF makeup spray. I also like this because it’s super easy and convenient, BUT not all sunscreen sprays should be sprayed directly to your face so make sure you check the label. Also, some sunscreen sprays may have ingredients in them that can mess up your makeup—they weren’t made to go over makeup so again, check the label. • Note: you still need to wear a base sunscreen underneath. You will never apply enough SPF makeup spray to get adequate protection • Also, you can use these to reapply throughout the day even when you’re not wearing makeup. • I've tagged a few Supergoop products in this video! • Need sunscreen options?
