Measurement Results: http://i.imgur.com/icvZPsr.jpg • The Runcam 2 is rated to run from 5-17V with max 600ma current but that info leaves much to be desired. • This is a far more detailed analysis of Runcam 2 power / current usage across several input voltages (5, 8, 12, 15V) under different camera modes (video out, 1080p60fps recording, battery charging, all 3 together) as well as minimum required operating voltage tests and min/max internal battery measurements. • I also explore a lightly audible squealing which comes from the camera when powered with a bit less than 5V. It doesn't seem to cause any immediate operating issues and doesn't occur as long as the camera remains powered with at least 5V. Also, it looks like the noise could be caused by the voltage regulator I used. A different voltage regulator resulted in reduced noise from the camera.
