In this installment of #firealarmfriday, I'll be comparing different versions of Federal Signal Vibratone 450 horns - the A1 (mounted on a very early Space Age AV-32 light plate), the B2 (mounted on a Simplex 2903-9001 retrofit plate), and two B4's, one of which is a horn/strobe with a Federal Visalert (VALS) soldered onto it. • This is not an exhaustive review. Absent are the earliest version of the A1-series 450 (also known as the Simplex 4041), the later C and D series 450's (which use Faraday 6120 and 6220 mechanisms, respectively), and the Model 350 AC-powered horns. • If you're a fan of vintage electric horns, here's a quick shoutout to VintageVibratone: •    / @vintagevibratone   • Table of Contents: • 0:00 - Series A1 with Space Age AV-32 • 1:04 - Series B2 with Simplex 2903-9001 • 2:06 - Series B4 - Low-current with VALS and high-current horn-only • 4:52 - Testing the A1 • 5:11 - Testing the B2 • 5:29 - Testing the B4 horn-only model • 5:47 - Testing the B4 + VALS • 6:03 - Outro
