The village derives its name from a lake there which is a picnic spot, thatte means plate and kere means lake in native Kannada language. • A Mahadeshwara temple is there in the village on west side of the Thattekere lake, situated in elephant corridor of Bannerghatta National Park and it is a birdwatching place. Another tourist attraction Muthyalamaduvu is nearby. • My Take: • It was a boring Sunday afternoon and i thought of going on a solo ride. Couldn't find any place near than this as it was too late. Started ride at 1PM from my home. The first 20 kms(After starting on Bannerghatta road) were bad and not enjoyable. The last 20kms was awesome. After reaching Thattekere i saw that the gate was closed. went forward to ask about this in the village after the lake. There i got to know it was banned and not allowed to anyone now due to crocodiles in lake. Another villager said there is another entry and we can give entry to the lake and there will not be any barricades, but to my unluck even that was blocked :(. After this came back home via Kanakapura road. • Also this my first ever Vlogging with a voice over!
