He is by far my favorite blues guitarist of all time and is also one of the most highly requested artists here at GuitarLessons365. So without further adieu, I present to you Pride And Joy . • I remember sitting at home as a teenager, on the couch playing my guitar when the news broke of his untimely death. I was a total rock head so I didn't really know of his playing but as they showed some concert footage of him playing during the newscast I was just floored. He didn't play the guitar, he attacked it. To the point that you almost felt sorry for the guitar. To this day I have never seen someone put so much passion into his music. • So in this lesson series we are gonna try to do justice to this classic tune. Before I get any emails, YES the full performance video is in the song's original tuning of Eb, however I teach the note-for-note lessons in standard tuning so anyone with a locking trem system can still learn the song the way he played it.
