Lizzie is a second year Astronomy PhD candidate at the University of Nottingham, focusing on using near-infrared data taken over a 10 year period, from the UKIDSS Ultra Deep Survey (UDS), to study the variability of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN). The light from AGN is known to change over months to years in the near-infrared, making the UDS a perfect and unique dataset to use. • Lizzie tells us about her experience as an undergraduate at Nottingham, her love of archery and her time as an intern in Sydney and how this lead her to where she is now. • If you want to know more about Lizzie's internship, take a look at her open day presentation here:    • Student Presentation - Lizzie Elmer
