DIY Elegant Wooden Epoxy Bow Tie

It also increases the chance that others will find my channel. • The order of actions: • 1. Cutting and grinding of oak wanes. 0:25 • 2. Cleaning wanes with a steel brush. 0:42 • 3. Priming wood with a fast curing resin (Epidian 652 + Hardener IDA). 0:52 • 4. Setting up molds for filling with epoxy resin. I used silicone to bind the molds. 1:37 • 5. Base leveling. 2:05 • 6. Application and mixing of epoxy resin (Epidian 652 + Hardener IDA). 2:10 • 7. Application of fluorescent dyes: blue and green. 2:30 • 8. Flooding epoxy into casts. 2:43 • 9. Casting separation from the base after complete hardening/curing of epoxy resin. Curing lasted about 7 days. 3:09 • 10. Cutting out the shape of bow ties using a saber saw (Bosch GST 135 CE). 3:27 • 11. Marking out the thickness and cutting out the bow ties using a Japanese saw (Gyokucho Razorsaw). 4:04 • 12. Sanding the bow ties using an orbital sander (Bosch GEX 125-150 AVE). 4:16 • 13. Final sanding of the bow ties with sandpaper. 4:43 • 14. Cutting aluminum brackets that we will later use to put the bow ties on. 5:03 • 15. Sanding and polishing aluminum handles. 5:21 • 16. Bonding aluminum handles with epoxy resin. 5:51 • 17. Oiling the bow ties (Liberon Finishing Oil). 6:06 • 18.
