Borderlands 3 cross-platform parties! • Quick guide on adding cross-platform friends using SHIFT crossplay. • Note, this only works between Xbox and PC, PlayStation is being difficult for now.. • Pardon the blurs, common courtesy to the steam homies. • TROUBLESHOOTING: • Q: Added SHIFT friend, but they don't show up as online. • A: This can happen when trying to crossplay between Steam/Epic. • People have has success with the following: • Delete and re-add each other as shift friends. Both sides must delete friend, one then sends the re-invite. • Unlink Epic account from SHIFT • Q: Friends not showing up in SHIFT search. • A: This can happen if trying to add from Playstation to XBOX - this is still not supported (thx sony). Otherwise, double check spelling and make sure you are using their SHIFT name. You can see your SHIFT name in the SHIFT tab (sphere icon in social menu). Check for updates / restart / try again later if this doesn't work - could always be an issue with SHIFT servers. • Workaround Using Discord: • Another workaround is inviting your friend via Discord. If you have Game Activity enabled, you start a private/group chat with friends. When you start BL3 up, “Borderlands 3” should appear in the lower left corner, above your username. Click the green “play button” in the text box where the “+” is, and you should be able to Invite name of the group/username to play .
