[Synth/Ambient/Modern Classical/Electronic/Orchestration/OST] Here is the iconic soundtrack score for the film: Overboard . I don't usually upload music scores but i noticed this soundtrack is pretty hard to find (as a matter of fact, i think this album only had 1000 copies pressed). I also am a pretty big fan of Silvestri's musical contributions to many classic 80's films. Alan Silvestri is best known for his numerous collaborations with director Robert Zemeckis, having scored Romancing the Stone, the Back to the Future trilogy, Forrest Gump, Contact, Cast Away and The Polar Express. Silvestri is also known for his work in Predator and Predator 2. Overboard stars long time Hollywood couple Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell; The film was given a mixed reception from critics back in the day. Based on 24 reviews collected by Rotten Tomatoes, around half of critics enjoyed it, with an average rating of 5.2/10. But overall it was generally considered a mild success, having grossed nearly $27 million domestically. Shockingly, i just found out that there is a remake of the film being planned with Anna Faris as the lead, a pretty good casting choice but unfortunately Guardians Of The Galaxy star Chris Pratt will not be playing the love interest which in my opinion is a TOTAL missed opportunity, lol.
