It isn't a situation of one device suits all. That's part of the issue with trying to service the partial hand prosthetics market. There are like 30 different possible amputation variations, and each one requires its own setup and design. This design could conceivably meet the needs for 7 of those variations by deleting 1 or more mechanical fingers.
