DIY Paper Rocket Launcher Tutorial. This is a great project to do with your kids or with a youth group. The launcher uses compressed air to launch paper rockets farther than you would expect. Most paper rockets can withstand 20-40 psi, but if you make them robust you can crank sometimes withstand 60-100 psi. Ideal activity for kids 8 to 14 (and for parents too)! • Check out more fun projects on my Facebook page @sciencefun4u • Paper Rocket Launcher Parts: • 1” Inline Sprinkler Valve* https://amzn.to/3tGckbl • PVC Glue and Primer* https://amzn.to/2QJb0Ws • Push Button Momentary Switch* https://ebay.us/a6u7Z0 • 10” 2-conductor speaker wire* https://ebay.us/D284Zm • 9-Volt Battery Boxes – 2 Each* https://ebay.us/nubQfq • 9-Volt Batteries – 2 Each* https://amzn.to/3dDzVEa • ¼” Air Quick Connect or Bicycle Tire Valve Stem* https://amzn.to/3eeP4uy • ½” PVC Pipe – 2 Feet • 1” PVC Pipe – 6 Inches • 2” PVC Pipe – 2 Feet • 2” PVC Cap – 2 Each • 2” PVC Tee – 1 Each • 2” x 1” Bushing PVC Fitting– 1 Each • 1” x 1” Adapter PVC Fitting (Slip fit to threads) – 1 Each • 1” x 1” 90-Degree Elbow PVC Fitting (Slip fit to threads) – 1 Each • 1” x ½” Bushing PVC Fitting (Bushing to female threads) – 1 Each • ½” x ½” Adapter PVC Fitting (Slip fit to threads) – 1 Each • ½” PVC Cap – 2 Each • Teflon Tape • Spray Paint • *Affiliate links will result in no added cost for you, but may earn me a small commission.
