Needle Felted Dog Armature The Process

Quick photo demo of the needle felted dog armature process. When making the sheltie armature I : • 1) Opened up side profile pictures of the real sheltie on my computer as well as sheltie anatomy (skeletal and musculature) and got them to the size I wanted my sculpture to be. • Then 2) I held up the lengths of wire up to the screen to get the right scale and shape. • 3) I connected the wire together by twisting to get a frame. • 4) I wrapped pipe cleaners over the wire so my core wool had something to grip onto. • 5) I wrapped my wool all over the armature and referred back to the photos as I added more and more wool and sculpted into place with my needle. • If you’d like to advance your skills and become a more confident needle felter, be sure to hit the red subscribe button. • FREE Photo tutorials, wool and tool guides, tips and more: https://www.fittobeloved.com • Follow me at: • / fittobelovedfelts • / fit_to_be_loved • Happy Felting :-)
