This ancient town is located in Yongshun County, Xiangxi Prefecture, Hunan Province, China. • Furong Ancient Town, is a tourist attraction in mountainous northwest Hunan, about halfway between the popular tourist destinations of FengHuang County [凤凰县] and Zhangjiajie [张家界]. FuRong Town is well known for its scenic location, situated on cliffs above a waterfall that falls into the LiShui River. • FuRong town was originally known as WangCun village, but in 1986, it was renamed following the success of the famous film, Hibiscus Town.
