Fitting a DCC Decoder to Older DC Trains

This video shows how it is possible to fit a DCC Decoder to an older, DC Train. • Most older style DC locos can be easily converted to run on your DCC layout. Just make sure that it already runs will on DC, as converting it to DCC won't make it run any better! • Disclaimer, the conversion shown in this video is just for this motor/chassis combination. Its important to ensure that the motor is isolated from the power. Some locos have a constant feed through the wheels and chassis that can't be interrupted without slight modifications. Not isolating the motor can result in damage (terminal) to your decoder. • 4 Pin Hornby Decoder • https://amzn.to/3jdLRgp • Heat Shrink • https://amzn.to/2CgkUbz • Music from Epidemic • https://www.epidemicsound.com/referra...
