On May 4, Los Angeles County Sup. Holly J. Mitchell, DPSS Director Antonia Jiménez, DCBA Office of Immigrant Affairs Deputy Director Rigoberto Reyes, DPH Health Officer Dr. Muntu Davis and community partners kicked-off the 12th Annual CalFresh Awareness Month event at East Rancho Dominguez Park in Compton. Community members came together to learn how the CalFresh program is fighting food insecurity in LA County.
