More than likely your fob isn’t broken, it’s probably just that the battery has died. To replace the battery in your Volkswagen’s key fob, follow these easy instructions: • Open the key by pushing the metal button on your key fob • Hold the fob with the “VW” logo on the top • You’ll notice the key is vertically split into two; pry open the slot that is to the side opposite of the logo by using either your fingers or a screwdriver • Once the top is removed, use a small flat tool to pry the battery from its compartment • Replace the old battery with a new CR2032 battery with the + side facing down • Snap the top back on • I hope you found this helpful in replacing your dead VW battery!
