Hello friends, my name is Angelica and I am from Pampanga Philippines, this is one of my favorite recipes from home. Empanadas were originally brought over to the Philippines by the Spanish and remain to be a popular dish. Traditionally, Filipino styled Empanadas are fried, but this is my recipe for Baked Beef Empanadas. The recipe here is doubled and can make roughly 165 Empanadas. I also use an Empanada press, you can assemble by hand, but by using the press I find that my empanadas come out more uniform; the press is also easier and a lot faster especially when making large quantities. I hope you enjoy cooking this and share it with your family and friends. • What you will need: • 8 batches of Pastry dough, recipe is at this link    • Angelica's Pastry Dough   • ½ lb. of Baby Carrots • 2 Yellow Bell Peppers • 2 Green Bell Peppers • 2 Orange Bell Peppers • ½ large Yellow Onion • 8 Golden Potatoes • 2 Cups of Golden Raisins (Do not substitute) • 4 lbs. of Lean Ground Beef • 1/3 cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil • 2 Packets of Achuete Powder • 1 Tablespoon of Minced Garlic • ½ teaspoon of Peppercorn Mélange • 1 teaspoon of Salt • 1/3 cup of Water • Egg Wash : • For every egg yolk add 1 Tablespoon of Water
