The giant Chinese Dobsonfly, scientifically known as “Archichauliodes diversus,” is a species of insect native to China and other parts of East Asia. • They are known for their impressive size, with a wingspan that can reach up to 21 centimeters (8.3 inches) in males and up to 18 centimeters (7.1 inches) in females. • Both males and females of this species possess large, intimidating mandibles or pinchers, which they use to capture prey and defend themselves. • The pinchers of the males are especially long and curved, giving them a fearsome appearance.
