July 20, 2014) was a Romanian sculptor and sculpture teacher, winner of the Herder Prize in 1984, known especially for the kinetic fountains he made, such as and for monumental stone and steel sculptures, respectively for various combined monumental ensembles, including those of the type of monumental kinetic fountains. • Since 1993 he has been a professor in the sculpture department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cluj. His monumental works can be found in different cities of Romania, the most notable in Bucharest, Constanța, Brăila and Reșița, and other sculptures of his can be found in many museums in the country. In 2007, the Constantin Lucaci Museum was inaugurated, a museum under the auspices of the Vatican, located in the Sanctuary of San Francesco di Paola, Calabria, Italy. • On June 5, 2012, the Constantin Lucaci Museum was inaugurated in Bocșa, the birthplace of the master. The museum exhibits a number of 17 stainless steel sculptures donated to the city of Bocșa. Outside Romania, the kinetic sculpture Star is part of the permanent exhibition Fucina degli Angeli in Venice.
