Corpsmembers Deploy to Protect Kern County Watersheds

The town of Havilah in Kern County was devastated by July’s Borel Fire. More than 220 structures were destroyed and another 20-plus damaged. Corpsmembers from the #CCCChico and #CCCRedding Centers spent this week working to make sure those structures, vehicles, and other materials don’t cause further harm by leaching chemicals into the area’s waterways. In collaboration with the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services and Department of Water Resources, Corpsmembers are helping this community begin its recovery. #CaliforniaConservationCorps
