President Omar al-Bashir of Sudan, who has been indicted by the International Criminal Court on counts of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity, says he will step down in 2020, when his current mandate ends. • In an exclusive interview with the BBC, Mr Bashir has denied allegations of abuses perpetrated by the Sudanese forces in renewed violence in Darfur this year.
