Planting a Blue Atlas Cedar in the new Prairie Garden using the “no dig” method. The Blue Atlas Cedar was purchased at Home Depot. A hole twice the size of the pot was dug about 6 inches deep. Topsoil, compost and manure, and some of the native soil was mixed in the hole and holly tone added. The tree was placed in the hole and backfilled with the amended soil. It was temped down and then the rest of the amended soil mounded around the tree.
