Well, it's official! In 2012 I finally reached my goal of making a feature film, but before making Do No Harm, I made quite a few movies before. • It's taking me a lot of heartburn to get to this point in putting my feature film up on Youtube, why now you might ask? I've been asking myself, why not? • For some strange reason the folks across the pond in the UK are really enjoying this film, but for the life of me, no one in the U.S. seems interested in watching this film. What is so crazy to me is you can rent it for .99 on Amazon and even purchase it for 2.99!, but when I was selling it for 12.50 on DVD, I couldn't make the copies fast enough! That just blows my mind, but what I've decided is, as a film maker, music maker, nothing is more satisfying as having folks actually watch and listen to your work, so after much deep thought on why I should nor shouldn't put this film up on Youtube, is not history! It's up there now! • I do hope you will watch it and keep in mind that I made it for under 7,500.00 dollars and without a crew! So there's that, but I'm proud of what I was able to accomplish. The film was shot mostly at night in 12 days! (nights) Now over the years I've heard so many comments about you should have done this or done that, but what people don't realize who have never made a film, is that one thing leads to another, and with each set up, you have another day to film, another night to pay for hotels, another night to feed the folks there and on and on. With a budget of 75K, I had to stay on my shot list and get the shots done on time and on schedule. Could I have made a better film? You bet, but with only me, shooting, directing, building props, doing makeup, etc, etc, it was very hard to keep up. One thing that I love to spot is how I would forget to turn out my gig light that I was wearing the whole time I was filming! See if you can spot it! Here's what to look for, in many shots I was using a dead cat on the boom mic mounted to the camera, in those shots when the gig light was left on, you can see the hair on the dead cat reflect on the actors faces! Why put this on my music channel and not my film channel? Well, for whatever reason, my music is more popular than my films, so that is why I put it here! I hope my small fan base is not scared off by my little horror film, if you are I apologize in advance! This film actually got a distribution deal, (but the company went bankrupt) and before the deal was signed I told them I want full rights to the soundtrack. They were not interested in the soundtrack and what is so crazy is the soundtrack has out sold the film 10-1! I'm very proud of both the music and the film!
