São Paulo. The megacity of not just Brazil, but all of Latin America. If you're flying to Brazil, this is typically the only way in, and the only way out. I didn't quite know what to expect: we're used to hearing about favelas and robberies in the country, which leads one to imagine a disorganized city barely holding it together. That's not São Paulo. There's way more money here than you'd expect, and many parts looks as modern as anywhere else in the world. There's the largest Italian and Japanese diasporas in the world.
