If your smoke alarm is still going off even after you've replaced the battery it may be time to replace it. If you've tried cleaning it, or you can't be bothered and you've already tried replacing the battery, it's worth just replacing it. Besides you'll have newer technology that wasn't around 10 to 15 years ago.
