Here is my take on Cages, from TesseracT's Polaris album. • I do not own this music, credit due to one of the most incredible modern prog metal bands. Please, support them: / @tesseractofficial . • As a way of getting used to my new seven-string guitar, I did this little project where I covered all the songs of this incredible album. I learned a lot, and my respect for TesseracT, which was already very high, climbed to the absolute maximum. Don't take the videos too seriously though, it's just for fun, so I didn't really paid too much attention to the tone and other production details. • Here you have the playlist with all the tunes: • TesseracT's Polaris Playthrough • Recorded in Logic with my Strandberg Original 7 Trem and Wampler's Dracarys distortion pedal, plugged directly into Universal Audio’s Apollo Twin interface. For the initial clean guitar I used the cloud machine of Strymon's Big Sky reverb. For the final melodies I used the digital machine of Strymon's Timeline and the HOG2 by Electro Harmonix for harmonies (octave up and down). • Video recorded with the ZOOM Q4 (great ambient audio recorder, but pretty crappy camera; all I have, though) and edited with iMovie. • Tabs from https://www.sheethappenspublishing.com, they have a lot of high-quality modern metal tabs at very affordable prices!
