Hi! Today, restoration of bailsong knife. The knife is famous. I bought it at a flea market. The condition is below average. There is rust, scratches, scuffs. There are no bolts, the tip of the knife and the blades are broken. Well, I'm starting to restore the items. • The first thing I did was take the bailsong knife apart. And I put the small bolts and nuts of the washer in the solvent. I cleaned the rest of the parts first with hot water and detergents. Then I dried it and started cleaning it with sand. After I cleaned it with sand, I sanded the knife and the parts. I also ground out about half a millimeter of steel. And he aligned the tip of the blade on the slot machine. • Further, in order to completely and accurately adjust the blade, I had to temper the steel, make new descents and quenching it in oil. The blade was tempering at a temperature of 200 degrees in the oven for 2 hours. • After that, I sharpened the blade, sanded it, and covered all the parts with special paint, which lasts a long time and is more resistant to the environment. • After all the details, I assembled the knife and started creating the lock. I used a regular six-millimeter nail, made a latch and a tang, which I fixed on the main handle.
