In Terraria (v1.4.4.9), when playing the Calamity Mod (v2.0.3.9) using tModLoader (v2023.11.3.3), the Legendary world (seed: getfixedboi) combined with the Calamity mod, and Revengeance mode presents a unique, challenging playthru experience. • Having defeated the Profaned Guardians, we circle back to fight Ravager, who was skipped because of the difficulty compared to the value of his drops. Armed with better weapons, armor, and accessories, and using a little trick to simplify the first phase, we return to Ravager primarily to obtain the Infernal Blood (a permanent Revengeance power-up) and some other nice, niche, alternative melee accessories (Blood Pact, Flesh Totem, and Ultimus Cleaver). • 00:00 Journey to Arena, Setup, and Buff • 00:36 Summon • 01:28 Phase 2 (head limbs destroyed at about 50% Health) • 01:42 Phase 3 (20% Health) • 01:52 Defeat, Lore, Loadout, Boss Log • To compare with a non-Legendary versions of this fight, please see: • Calamity Master+Revengeance: • Ravager [Terraria][Calamity][Revengea... • Strategy: • In Legendary mode, the Ravager receives an incredible buff with alternating floating heads, firing deadly beams. Plus, a new beam scans periodically, either horizontally or vertically, which inflicts damage if you are moving. Aggressive jumping, stomping, pillars chasing, and other projectiles make the Ravager a very difficult boss for this progression level. Firing on the run, is difficult because the Ravager can easily despawn if you get to far away. • By constructing a small platform about 196 feet (98 blocks) above the highest platform in your arena, you can attack Ravager safely above his contact attacks. However, you will still have to doge all of the beams and missile projectiles. By placing a bright background wall around this station (like, Diamond Gemspark wall, Honeyflow Wall, or Snowflow wall), the floating heads firing deadly beams become much more visible. From this position, the head and all the limbs can be easily destroyed for phase 1. • Once the body begins chasing you in phase 2, a tall arena with multiple levels becomes much more useful, because the pillars cannot pass through platforms, which allows you to sneak under them. In this phase, you must adopt a strategy with one of two extreme approaches to horizontal movement: Either run (dodging the pillars and escaping the beams) or move mostly vertical, (sidestepping stomps, working between the pillars).
