Giving Day 2024 Battle of the Generations

Giving Day: April 24 25, 2024 • Upper Iowa University invites its Silent Generation, the Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, and Gen Z, to battle it out to discover who can make the most impact on the 8th annual Giving Day. Every generation thinks it knows better than the one before and we are hoping that competitive spirit spills over into Giving Day at UIU. According to the Pew Research Center we have subdivided our giving generations into these 5 options: • --Silent: Generation: Born 1928–1945 • --Baby Boomers: Born 1946–1964 • --Generation X: Born 1965–1980 • --Millennials: Born 1981–1996 • --Gen Z: Born 1997–2012 • Donors will then be able to select the giving option from within their generation. Those who think they have the gusto to progress more in number of donors and number of dollars over their rival generations will gain bragging rights.
