The animations in this series illustrate a range of processes that take place in plants. Use the animations to observe movement and changes. The purpose of these animations is to illustrate how the different processes going on inside plant are dependent on each other, and to show how different structures support these processes. • This animation shows the processes of photosynthesis and respiration for GCSE and post-16 biology students. It tackles the common misconception that respiration in plants does not take place at the same time as photosynthesis. • The animation first shows the organism in the dark, with respiration taking place.
