The sessions were a way for the family to get busy making music while diverting attention from the stunning Alzheimers diagnosis Vee received not long before this recording. In the summer of 2013, Dylan paid tribute to Vee onstage covering Vee's first hit SUZIE BABY - a tune the two men played together in that summer of '59. • • SUZIE BABY - Bob Dylan (Bobby Vee Cover) • Vee used to play THE MAN IN ME as part of his live shows in the early 70's while in the midst of his singer songwriter reinvention that never really took flight, despite his critically acclaimed country-folk-rock album of originals NOTHIN' LIKE A SUNNY DAY.
