Make sure you have YouTube open with the video that you want to know the song from. Below the video click on the icon that looks like a graph and below some further information will appear about the video. As you can see here it tells us the name of the song and the artist. If this information is not here it is also worth looking through the comments to see if someone has mentioned the name of the song. • Step # 2 -- Using Google • If there is no information on the song here you can listen to some of the lyrics and then type them into Google search, even if you have them someone wrong, Google will probably produce the name of the song. • Step # 3 -- Using a Mobile App • Finally, assuming you have a smart phone you can download a free App called Shazam which will allow you to sample the song from your computer speakers and identify it.
