The month of October is dedicated to honouring the life and times of renowned freedom fighter Oliver Reginald Tambo. OR, as Tambo was affectionately known, was president of the ANC from 1967 to 1991. The City of Ekurhuleni is hosting a month-long commemoration of Tambo to celebrate his contribution to the country's democracy. OR and his wife, Adelaide, are previous residents of Wattville in Ekurhuleni and are both buried in the township. Their daughter, Nomatemba Tambo has more. Courtesy of #DStv403
