'Lorient Mornings' was the first tune I recorded for the 'Farrar' album. The tune was written by my great friend Gordon Duncan and is beautiful in its construct and simplicity. • The inspiration for the second tune, 'Waltz of the Grey River' is the River Glass which runs through Strathglass as far as Struy where it then becomes the Beauly River. The piece was inspired the flow of this beautiful river. The track is performed live on this clip, accompanied by a core traditional band and a string / brass ensemble. • Live from Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow - an exclusive concert commissioned by the Celtic Connections Festival. This concert was recorded and Duncan subsequently released his award winning 'Live at Celtic Connections' album. • The full recording is available to buy, download and listen to here; https://smarturl.it/dc-liveatcc • For further information on Duncan, his music and live performances, please visit www.duncanchisholm.com
