Did our video help you? If so, consider buying us a beer: https://bit.ly/3feE6tJ • In this video, we show you how to replace a wheel lug nut stud. The repair was done on a 2013 5th Gen 4runner but the technique we showcase could work for many other trucks, SUVs and passenger vehicles. • **In retrospect, we feel you could probably easily knock a broken lug nut stud out of the wheel hub with a punch or brass drift and a hammer. The studs don't fit in that tight that you absolutely have to rely on a tool like a balljoint press to drive the broken stud out of the hub. • *Helpful Tools* • If you're looking for other tools not used in this video, check out Timmy's Master Tool List. • https://www.amazon.com/shop/timmythet... • *OTC 7249 Balljoint Press Kit - (this obviously works really well for this application but if you don't own a balljoint press kit or don't want to rent one from an auto parts store, try knocking out the broken stud with a hammer and punch or hammer and brass drift) https://amzn.to/2P7gK9E • *Ball Pein Hammer • https://amzn.to/2W5eHV5 • *Long Taper Punch Set - (nice set with multiple uses. use with hammer to knock out broken stud) • https://amzn.to/2O7o5Wx • *Brass Drift Set - (option to using a steel punch. nice set to have when you don't want mar up the surface you're striking against. brass is softer than steel) • https://amzn.to/2BrXfki • *1/2 Drive Flex Head Gear Wrench Ratchet - (awesome ratchet - nice and long to give you the leverage to turn the lug nut to pull the new stud into the wheel hub) https://amzn.to/2Wnbq2r • *1/2” Drive 6 Point Deep Metric Socket Set https://amzn.to/330QjGh • **As Ebay Partner Network members, we earn commissions from qualifying purchases. • **As Amazon Associates we earn from qualifying purchases.
