In 1979 the world famous classical guitarist John Williams crossed over for a second venture into rock music when he formed the band Sky, releasing their eponymous first album on the Arista/Ariola label. The track Carillon was selected as a single. • The other members of this mainly British group were: • Herbie Flowers (bass) who was a member of Blue Mink and wrote this beautiful instrumental with Ian Gomm • Kevin Peek (Australian guitarist) • Francis Monkman (keyboards) • Tristan Fry (drums) brilliant classical percussionist • The music was used on the soundtracks of: • 1980 Argentinian TV production Rosa... de lejos • 1989-1997 Belgian TV production Samson en Gert • 1979-1980 Mexican TV production Los ricos también lloran • #rosa #rosadelejos #samsonengert #Losricostambiénlloran • The images were captured with a phone camera on a misty September morning walk.
