Thanks for stoping by. Today I'm unboxing the Marlin Trapper. I was lucky enough to get my hands on one. First impression is this thing is slick, the cycle is smooth and crisp. The trigger is a little floppy, you can hear it while you move the rifle around. Pull weight on the trigger is right around 5-6 lbs. The break feels clean. 45-70 is powerful, my shoulder took a beating after 40 rounds. One in there got me good. I'm excited to get the mods going, waiting on the final piece from Grizzly Gun Works. I have a bunch of goodies from Ranger Point, Chisel Machining, VC Grips, Scalarworks, Aimpoint, XS Sights and Grizzly Gun Works.
