HMS Diamond is among the ships to have joined the US-led operation to protect merchant shipping in the Red Sea. • • Since November, the Houthis have been attacking ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden in what they say is a campaign of solidarity with Palestinians during Israel's war in Gaza. • • The BBC was given access to HMS Diamond during a mission in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. • • HMS Diamond has not yet shot down any Houthi missiles.
