PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION! • NOTE: This is an airsoft video! • So this video is a compilation of all of the tips and tricks I have found regarding fixing the WE M4 bolt-catch/bolt-stop. Most of the tips I've found on forums or other videos, but this is just sort of a video covering all of the methods that work. • Also one of that I think I came up with myself, that gives it a little extra reliability. • The bolt-catch function on my own WE M4 GBBR is now 99.999% rock solid! • If you follow the tips in this video guide, your WE M4 should never fail to catch the bolt on an empty magazine ever again (unless of course you are out of gas...). • The main things to look out for are these: • 1. Make sure your bolt-catch lever is a newer version, as it has more material on the arm that interacts with the lever in the magazine. • 2. Shim the bolt-catch with AEG shims to reduce side-to-side wobble. • 3. Modify the bolt catch and remove material so that it can move more freely in the upper receiver. • 4. Check your buffer tube spacing, back it out if it's too tight. IMPORTANT: Someone informed me that backing out the buffer tube is a bad idea due to structural integrity of the rifle. It is better to adjust bolt travel by modifying (reducing) part #91 in the buffer tube, the buffer tube spacer! • 5. Modify the bolt-lock actuating levers in the magazine for some extra push on the bolt-catch. • Hope you guys enjoy!
